Color pods can be opened for a certain amount of stars to give you colors to customize your bugs. There are common color pods, rare color pods, legendary color pods, and elite bug skin pods. Once a color pod is opened, it selects a random color from the color palette. Then you can use that color to customize your bugs. To customize a bug, you must select it and press the "customize" button above the equip button.

Common color pods[]
Common color pods are the cheapest color pod to open. They can be opened for 300 stars. Once opened, it will select a random color in the common color palette. Common colors are the most dull and least bright colors. This is what the common color palette looks like:
Rare color pods[]
Rare color pods are the second cheapest color pod to open. They can be opened for 600 stars. Once opened, it will select a random color in the rare color palette. Rare colors are a bit more vibrant than the common colors. This is what the rare color palette looks like:
Legendary color pods[]
Legendary color pods are the most expensive color pod to open. They have to be opened with 1000 stars. Once opened, it will select a random color in the Legendary color palette. Legendary colors are the most vibrant colors. This is what the legendary color palette looks like:
Elite Bug Skin Pods[]
Elite bug skin pods can only be opened by using Robux. They give very unique color schemes for your bugs. Opening one Elite bug skin pod costs 99 Robux. Opening all Elite bug skin pods costs 299 Robux. This is what the Elite bug skin palette looks like:
